A few years ago, Hunter Douglas introduced a completely new concept in window coverings which combines the alluring appearance of shutters without need the framing; the softness, durability and convenience of a shade; and the variable light control of blinds – Alouette® LightLouvers.
Alouette LightLouvers consist of soft fabric extra-wide 2 ¾” louvers that have an elliptical, cellular shape that softens and diffuses light while also controlling it. Alouette louvers rotate 180 degrees from fully opened or fully closed – and anywhere in between – in either direction for optimal light and privacy control. These unique louvers have an exclusive operating system, so that the color-coordinated headrail and bottom rail – which are also elliptical in shape – pivot with the louvers. This allows the headrail and bottom rail to visually disappear into the louvers.
Alouette LightLouvers is offered in two opacities – the translucent and room-darkening, which is a great choice for bedrooms and media rooms. It comes in 50 color / pattern combinations. Highly practical as well as attractive, thanks to the cellular construction of the louvers, this window covering insulates against winter cold and summer heat by trapping air in the louvers. And when closed, Alouette LightLouvers protect against 99 percent of UV rays.
